Mom'S Slick Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

Equal amounts of beef drippings and flour
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Mix above ingredients together.
Add more flour just until you create a soft, moist dough.
Flour a counter top and put dough in center.
Using a floured rolling pin, roll dough to approximately 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thick.
Taking a sharp knife, cut the dough into rectangles approximately 2 inches x 3 inches. Take roast drippings and add enough water to make about 3 inches of broth in bottom of large saucepan.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
If you are short on drippings and the water dilutes it too much, add beef bouillon cubes to make extra fluid or canned beef broth.
Gently peel dumplings from counter.
Add them to boiling broth one at a time and immerse them totally before adding the next dumpling.
Cover and cook about 10 minutes.
