Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour, sifted
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. butter or solid shortening (Crisco)
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. coconut
    1 Tbsp. coconut extract or vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together twice.
    Cream butter and sugar for 10 minutes.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating smooth after each addition.
    Stir in flavoring. Pour into 10-inch greased and floured tube pan.
    Place in cold oven; turn on at 325\u00b0 and bake 1 hour and 25 minutes.
