Favorite Pound Cake "1954" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    4 to 5 eggs (unbeaten)
    3/4 c. sweet milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In one bowl, sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Add in shortening and eggs.
    Mix 3 minutes with mixer.
    Add in milk and vanilla.
    Mix 2 minutes.
    Pour batter into a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan, greased and floured.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
