Ingredients

2 pt. small okra (2 to 3-inches long; leave 1/4-inch stems)
1 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. salt
4 cloves garlic
2 tsp. dill seed
2 pods hot pepper
Preparation

Boil pints jars for 15 minutes.
Wash okra with vegetable brush.
Place okra in jars.
Bring water, salt and vinegar to a boil.
Add to each jar:
1 teaspoon dill seed, 2 garlic cloves and 1 hot pepper.
Pour boiling mixture over okra in jars.
Put lids on jars and set them in a container in which you completely cover them in water.
Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Yields 2 pints.
