Chicken With Mushrooms And Wild Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) fryer, cut in pieces
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1 1/2 c. wild rice
    1/4 c. sherry
    1/2 c. stock or water (if needed)
    salt
    pepper
    rosemary
Preparation
    Thoroughly brown chicken on all sides in Crisco and olive oil in a frying pan.
    Remove chicken and brown mushrooms and green peppers in same skillet.
    Return chicken to pan.
    Add sherry and seasoning; cook, covered, over low heat for 20 minutes.
    If not enough sauce left, remove chicken.
    Add water or stock (canned chicken consomme may be used) and simmer a few minutes. Meanwhile, cook rice.
    Mound rice, surrounding it with chicken and pour sauce over all.
