Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sweet milk
flavoring to suit individual taste
Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening together.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Continue mixing. Add small amounts of dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt sifted together) and milk alternately with dry ingredients, first and last.
Add the flavoring with the milk. Bake for about 1 hour at 325\u00b0 in greased and floured stem pan with waxed paper in bottom.
