Pickles For Freezer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 cucumbers, unpeeled
    1 onion (medium size), sliced into rings
    salt to taste (small handful)
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers thin and let stand in salted water for 2 hours.
    Drain well.
    Mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
    Stir well to dissolve sugar and heat to boiling, then cool.
    Mix with pickles and onion rings.
    Put in containers and freeze.
    I pack the slices in 1-quart freezer bags, then pour in brine to cover.
    Thaw when ready to use.
