English Toffee Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter (not margarine)
    2 c. pecans
    1 pkg. chocolate chips (12 oz.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
Preparation
    First, spread 1 3/4 cups pecans on waxed paper on cookie sheet.
    Cook sugar, butter, vanilla and salt to hard crack stage, 300\u00b0, on candy thermometer.
