Pickled Dilly Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. turmeric
    3 lb. green beans
    3 c. cider vinegar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    3 Tbsp. dill seed or head of dill
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    garlic
Preparation
    Combine sugar, vinegar, water, syrup, salt and turmeric. Bring to boil.
    Cook for 3 minutes.
    Cook beans about 10 minutes; drain.
    Pour hot syrup over beans.
    Put red pepper, 2 cloves garlic and dill in pint jars.
    Add beans and syrup.
    Seal. Process 10 minutes in hot water bath.
    Makes 4 pints.
