Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/3 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    To sifted flour, add baking powder, soda and salt.
    Add nuts. Melt butter in saucepan; remove from heat and mix in sugar.
    Cool. Stir in egg and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture gradually, mixing well. Spread in greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Do not overbake. Cool in pan; cut in bars.
