Jerry'S Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9 slices white bread, crusts removed
4 c. cooked chicken (8 breasts), cut up
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
1/4 c. margarine or butter
4 well beaten eggs
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 can drained, sliced water chestnuts
8 slices sharp processed cheese
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 can mushroom soup
1 can celery soup
1 small jar chopped pimento
2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation

Line a buttered 9 x 12-inch baking dish with bread slices.
Top with chicken.
Saute mushrooms in margarine (butter) 5 minutes. Spoon over chicken.
Add water chestnuts.
Dot with mayonnaise. Top with cheese slices.
Combine eggs, milk and salt.
Pour over chicken.
Mix undiluted soups and pimento and spoon over casserole. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Remove foil, put crumbs on top and bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Serves 8 to 10.
