Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. grated squash (yellow)
    4 medium bell peppers
    4 hot peppers for hot relish (if desired)
    4 c. onions
    1 large jar pimientos
    5 tsp. salt
    3 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. pickling spice (in bag)
    4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix squash, peppers, onion and pimientos.
    Add salt.
    Stir well.
    Cover and let set 3 hours or overnight.
