Aunt Minnie'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or shortening
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. molasses syrup
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 large egg
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, butter and egg.
    Add syrup and buttermilk; mix well.
    Combine spices, soda, baking powder and flour.
    Sift into first mixture.
    Mix well.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    for 15 minutes or until brown.
