Sugared Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. pecans
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Roast pecans in shallow pan for about 15 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven, stirring frequently.
    Cook sugar, water, cinnamon and salt to soft ball stage (236\u00b0), without stirring.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and the nuts.
    Stir gently until nuts are well coated and mixture becomes creamy.
    Turn out on greased cookie sheet. Separate halves as they cool.
