Down South Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 lb. box Imperial brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt margarine in Pyrex pan (9 x 15-inch) in oven.
    Combine eggs, sugar, flour and soda in a medium mixing bowl.
    Add pecans and vanilla.
    When margarine melts, pour batter over and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    This will rise and fall just about the time it comes out of the oven.
    Cool and cut into bars.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
