Sheepherder Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 bacon slices, minced
    2 onions, chopped
    4 potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch thick
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon until not quite crisp.
    Add onions and saute until limp.
    Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of drippings.
    Center potatoes on tinfoil, placed in large casserole dish.
    Pour bacon mixture over potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
    Seal foil with small space between potatoes and foil.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Serves 4 to 6.
