Mom'S Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups of flour
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    1/2 cup of cold butter
    1/2 cup of vegetable shortening
    3 tablespoons cold water
    1 egg, beaten
    1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
Preparation
    Combine flour and salt, cut in butter and shortening. Combine cold water, egg and vinegar. Add egg mixture to flour mixture. Mix with fork. Divide in half. Form in 2 balls, wrap in plastic, chill for 1 hour. Roll out one ball of dough, place in bottom of 9-inch pie pan. Trim crust to 1/2 inch edge of pan. Crimp edge. Use second dough ball for top of pie.
