Open-Faced Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 c. apples, pared, cored and sliced
2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. heavy cream
1 egg yolk
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
Mix well.
Add apples, tossing until evenly coated.
Spoon into pastry shell, mounding in center.
Dot with butter.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until crust begins to brown and apples are tender.
Remove pie from oven and lower temperature to 350\u00b0.
