Carrot And String Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cooked green beans
    3 c. cooked sliced carrots
    4 Tbsp. fat or margarine
    1 small onion, minced
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. medium-sharp grated cheese
    2 eggs, beaten slightly
Preparation
    Melt margarine in saucepan.
    Add onion and cook until tender. Add flour and stir until smooth.
    Next, add milk, salt, pepper and cheese.
    Stir constantly until thickened.
    Remove from heat and pour over slightly beaten eggs.
    Arrange vegetables and sauce in alternate layers in greased casserole dish.
    Top with soft crumbs mixed with 2 tablespoons margarine.
    Bake for 30 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
