Mrs. Wintle'S Lemon Curd Tarts(Makes 4 Dozen Miniature Tarts.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    grated rind of 2 lemons
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or oleo
    4 eggs, well beaten
    4 doz. miniature baked tart shells (see separate recipe for shells)
Preparation
    Combine lemon rind, lemon juice and sugar in top of double boiler.
    Add butter.
    Heat over boiling water, stirring until butter is melted.
    Stir in beaten eggs.
    Continue cooking, stirring constantly until the mixture is thick enough to pile slightly (about 15 minutes).
    Spoon filling into cooled tarts.
