Homemade Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 c. sugar
    4 c. water
    2/3 c. instant coffee
    1/4 c. water
    1 fifth 100 proof vodka
    2 vanilla beans, split lengthwise
Preparation
    Mix the sugar and 4 cups water and boil for 5 minutes; let cool. Bring the coffee and 1/4 cup water to a boil. Then add this coffee mixture to the cooled sugar/water. Using empty dark glass gallon jug, add the vodka and vanilla beans. Put these in jug, then add the above mixture. Shake well. Put in paper bag and put in dark cool place for 3 to 4 weeks.
