Pumpkin Fruit Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. pumpkin
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. water
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2/3 c. chopped dates or raisins
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease (not oil) bottom of two 8 x 4-inch or 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
In large bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, butter, water and eggs.
Beat 1 minute at medium speed.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
Add flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves.
Beat 1 minute at medium speed.
Stir in dates and nuts.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 5 minutes; remove and cool completely.
Makes 2 loaves.
