Ingredients

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. water
2 pt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
1 baked pastry shell
Preparation

Blend cream cheese and confectioners sugar together; spread on bottom and sides of baked pie crust.
Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan; stir in water and 1 cup berries.
Cook over medium heat until thickened and clear; reduce heat to low and cook 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Cool 5 minutes.
Arrange remaining berries in pie crust.
Pour cooled glaze over strawberries.
Just before serving, garnish with whipped cream.
