Pink Pear Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 pear halves
    8 maraschino cherries
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    crisp lettuce
    7 Tbsp. cherry juice, divided
    dash of salt
    1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Chill pear halves.
    Cut cherries into small pieces.
    Soften cream cheese; add 1 tablespoon cherry juice, cherries and salt. Blend thoroughly.
    Add pecans and mix well.
    Heap cream cheese mixture into hollow of pears.
    (Tint outside of pears with remaining cherry juice, optional.)
