Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    4 yolks (reserve whites for meringue)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients and beat well.
    Place pan on stove on medium heat and bring to a boil; stir.
    In an iron skillet, melt one cup of sugar until \"good and dark.\"
    Add to other ingredients, stirring constantly until it thickens.
    Bake in two unbaked pie shells at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Beat the four egg whites until stiff, adding about 1/4 cup sugar.
    Put on pies and brown.
