Squash And Apple Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. butternut or buttercup squash
    2 Jonathan apples
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. mace
Preparation
    Cut each squash in half lengthwise.
    Remove seeds and fibers. Pare and cut in 1/2-inch slices.
    Arrange in ungreased 7 x 11-inch baking pan.
    Mix together the margarine, brown sugar, flour, salt and mace.
    Sprinkle half of sugar mixture on squash slices.
    Top with apples which have been cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices. Sprinkle remaining sugar mixture on top.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake 60 to 80 minutes at 350\u00b0 until the squash is tender.
