Japanese Chicken Wings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken wings
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1/2 c. Sake or teriyaki sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger root (we don't recommend using powdered ginger)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper (if desired)
    1 garlic clove, crushed
Preparation
    Rinse the chicken wings in cold water.
    Towel excess water off.
    In a 12 x 8-inch baking dish, mix remaining ingredients. Add chicken wings and turn to coat well.
    Cover and refrigerate. Let marinate for 1 to 8 hours, turning occasionally.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Bake chicken in marinade, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours, turning occasionally.
    Serve warm or cold.
    (If it's a nice day, barbecue on the grill.)
    Makes 24 appetizers.
