Prairie Fire Bean Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
    1 c. shredded Provolone cheese
    2/3 c. water or beer
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. chili powder
    dash of hot sauce
    4 strips crisp, crumbled bacon
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts and mixture is thoroughly heated.
    Transfer mixture to a chafing dish.
    Serve with taco chips.
    Yields 2 cups.
