Chocolate Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    50 caramels
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 stick oleo
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    In a double boiler, melt 1/3 cup milk and caramels.
    Set aside.
    Mix together 1/3 cup milk, melted oleo and cake mix.
    Pour 1/2 of this cake batter into a 9 x 13-inch greased cake pan. Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 6 minutes. Remove from oven.
    Pour the chocolate chips over the batter and cover with caramel mixture. Add remaining cake batter and bake 15 to 20 minutes. Cool 30 minutes before cutting.
    Nuts may also be added with chips.
