Ingredients

1/4 lb. dried beef (shredded)
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
4 to 6 slices toast
Preparation

Cook dried beef with margarine in heavy skillet 5 minutes or until edges curl.
Sprinkle flour over beef and blend well. Remove from heat, slowly stir in milk, return to low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and thick.
Serve on hot crisp toast.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
