Capirotada (Bread Pudding) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf white bread
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 cinnamon sticks
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    raisins
    pecans
    peanuts
    coconut, shredded
    candy sprinkles
    1 lb. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Toast bread in oven.
    Combine brown sugar, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a saucepan with 1 1/2 quarts water.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Reduce heat just enough to keep mixture warm. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, layer the toast first, then the cheese, next the raisins, pecans, peanuts, coconut and sprinkles (using as much as desired or omitting if you do not like).
    After each layer, pour some of the brown sugar mixture on top.
    When complete, bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
