Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. finely cut bacon (6 slices)
    1 large onion
    1 bell pepper
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    3 c. water
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Chop onion and green pepper fine. Drain grease.
    Save 2 tablespoons fat.
    Saute onion and pepper and rice until golden brown, then add bacon.
    Continue cooking for 5 minutes.
    Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Place in casserole dish and bake 30 minutes.
