Old-Fashioned Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar (white or brown)
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. milk (sweet or sour)
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves or other spices

Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs and molasses, then milk and dry ingredients.
Bake in 4 small layers in moderate oven (350\u00b0).
