Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/2 c. butter flavor shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Cream the first 4 ingredients.
    Add egg; beat until fluffy. Sift together the remaining dry ingredients.
    Stir into molasses mixture.
    Chill dough at least 1 hour.
    Form into small balls; roll in sugar.
    Place, 2 inches apart, on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes about 5 dozen.
