Hot Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. each: prunes, pears, peaches and pineapple
    1 1/2 c. applesauce
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    juice of 1/2 lemon (and rind, optional)
Preparation
    Combine fruits and applesauce and arrange in a casserole.
    Add cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
    Add juice of lemon (and rind).
    Mix fruits and cover.
    Bake at 250\u00b0
    for at least 1 hour.
    The longer it bakes the better it is.
