Grandmother'S Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. water
    1 egg, beaten
    butter size of hickory nut
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    diced apples
    celery
    pecan or walnut halves
    grapes
    marshmallow bits
    pineapple tidbits
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water, butter, egg, flour and vinegar, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Cool and fold into fruits and nuts. Serves 12-14.
