Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    5 apples, diced
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 stick butter
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Boil together to thick: sugar, pineapple and flour and then add butter.
    Cool.
    Dice apples (peel if desired). Mix Cool Whip and nuts.
    Add sauce and apples by folding them into mixture. Sprinkle a few chopped maraschino cherries on top.
    Quick, easy and good!
