Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. dark syrup
1/4 c. oleo
3 eggs
1 c. pecans, chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix sugar, syrup and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then cool.
In a bowl, slightly beat eggs, and add cooled syrup mixture, stirring gently.
Gradually add salt, vanilla and pecans. Pour into an unbaked pie shell and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
