Ingredients

4 or 5 medium cucumbers
1 1/2 onions
2 Tbsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white vinegar
celery seed to taste or 1/2 tsp.
1 c. bell pepper (optional)
Preparation

Sprinkle salt over thin sliced cucumbers, onion and pepper in colander sitting in shallow dish in refrigerator.
Juice will be drawn from vegetables.
Let sit and drain for 2 hours.
Squeeze against colander and place in pint freezer containers.
While cucumbers are draining, mix sugar and vinegar.
Heat to boil.
Let cool.
Add celery seed.
Pour over vegetables and freeze.
Thaw in refrigerator overnight before use.
