Gravy-Baked Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lean pork chops
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
    In 10-inch skillet, brown pork chops in 1 tablespoon hot shortening.
    Pour off drippings.
    Put in baking dish.
    Pour around the chops a mixture of soup, evaporated milk and water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes, until chops are done.
    Stir gravy well.
    Makes 4 servings.
