Pumpkin Rich Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    unbaked pastry shell (9-inch)
    2/3 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. allspice (optional)
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 3/4 c. canned pumpkin
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt and spices.
    Add egg.
    Mix well.
    Stir in pumpkin; add milk.
    Stir until smooth.
    Pour into chilled pastry shell.
    Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 45 minutes on shelf just below center of oven.
    To check for doneness, insert knife in center.
    If it comes out clean, it is done.
