Soft Molasses Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Melt shortening.
Mix in sugar, molasses and eggs.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to mixture.
Add 1 cup boiling water last.
Bake in an 8 x 11-inch pan for 25 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
