    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. margarine
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. butterscotch instant pudding
    2 eggs
    12 oz. butterscotch chips
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Bake at 375\u00b0.
    Yields 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
