Breakfast Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. All-Bran
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. melted margarine
    1 c. walnuts
    3/4 c. figs, cut up
    1/2 c. currants
Preparation
    Place in medium bowl the first 5 ingredients. Pour buttermilk, eggs and margarine over dry ingredients.
    Beat very lightly on low to mix.
    Fold in nuts, figs and currants briefly with rubber spatula.
    Pour into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    These freeze well and are loaded with fiber.
