Chocolate Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sq. Baker's chocolate
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. boiling hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk or sweet milk with 1 tsp. lemon juice or vinegar
Preparation
    Pour hot water over chocolate and butter.
    Let cool and add vanilla; stir.
    Sift flour, salt, sugar and soda.
    Add to chocolate mixture.
    Add eggs and buttermilk.
    Bake in greased and floured pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
