Indonesian Coconut Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1/2 c. coconut, grated
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter and sugar.
    Add flour and soda.
    Then add coconut and extract.
    Form into rolls 1 1/2 inches wide.
    Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate.
    Then place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes, just until lightly browned.
    Do not overbake!
