Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. ground lean beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 cans tomatoes
    1/2 c. rice
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef and drain. Saute onion in shortening. Combine all ingredients in pot and cook slow for 3 1/2 hours.
