Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 qt. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 orange peel, quartered
Preparation
    Place eggs in top of double boiler; beat well.
    Add sugar gradually; stir in milk.
    Cook over boiling water, stirring frequently until mixture coats spoon.
    Add butter; cool.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add orange peel.
    Chill overnight.
    Remove peel before serving.
    Yield:
    10 to 12 servings.
