Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
    3/4 c. margarine, softened
    3 c. powdered sugar
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese or 1 c. margarine
    5 bananas
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 (6 oz.) bottle red maraschino cherries, sliced
    lemon juice
Preparation
    Mix vanilla wafer crumbs and soft margarine.
    Spread in bottom of 3-quart baking dish.
    Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese or margarine.
    Beat with mixer until light and fluffy.
    Spread over crumb mixture and chill 1 hour.
    Slice bananas round and sprinkle with lemon juice.
    Layer bananas, then pineapple, then Cool Whip. Garnish top with pecans and cherries.
