Raisin Banana Picnic Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed bananas (about 3 medium)
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped golden raisins
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Beat in bananas, shortening, milk, peel and vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes, scraping bowl constantly. Add eggs; beat 2 minutes more, scraping bowl.
    Stir in raisins and nuts.
    Pour into wax lined (or greased and floured) 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes, or until pick comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 5 minutes; turn out onto rack to cool.
    Frost.
